Ohio police officer's cruiser struck in high-speed accident

Paying attention to what is going on around you is important, especially if you are driving on a roadway with higher speed limits. Serious damage can happen to vehicles that are involved in accidents that occur at high speeds. Serious injuries can also occur. Luckily, a recent accident that occurred on U.S. Route 30 in Ohio wasn't nearly as tragic as it could have been.

The Ohio car accident occurred when a man driving a pickup truck tried to pass a Wayne County Sheriff's Office cruiser. The man was driving extremely fast when he struck the rear of the cruiser. The impact forced the cruiser off the roadway. The pickup truck rolled over before stopping.

The man driving the pickup truck and the officer were both taken to the hospital. Neither of the men had serious injuries and have been released from Wooster Community Hospital.

A captain for the sheriff's office says that it is "fortunate" that the injuries weren't more serious. He noted that from the damage done to the police cruiser, it is obvious that the pickup truck was going really fast because the damage looks much like what would occur if the vehicle hit was parked.

While it is great that neither man seemed to be seriously injured in this accident, there is still the chance that the injuries might impact the officer's life in one way or another. The impact could potentially include things that cause the man to incur expenses or lose income.

Anyone who is injured in Ohio car accidents might be able to seek compensation for expenses and other damages. Knowing what claims to make can help ensure that all the bases are covered during the process of seeking compensation.
