Man killed in Ohio motorcycle accident

There are thousands upon thousands of people throughout the United States who enjoy taking to the open road on their motorcycle. While most of these people are able to stay safe on each ride, this is not always the case. An Ohio man was recently killed in a two-vehicle accident on State Route 21.

According to authorities, the 62-year old man was traveling north on the road at 12:10 p.m. It was at that time that he was hit by another vehicle.

As a result of the accident, he was immediately transported to Summa Akron City Hospital. Despite the fact that the man was able to make it to the hospital for treatment, the impact of the accident was too much, and he later died from his injuries.

At this time, there is no additional information on what caused the accident or about the driver of the other vehicle. Norton police and the Summit County medical examiner continue to investigate in hopes of learning more.

Ohio motorcycle accidents may not be common in the grand scheme of things, when you consider how many vehicles are on the road on a given day. When an accident does occur, especially between a motorcycle and a car or truck, the end result can be serious injury or death. This is due to the fact that the motorcycle is the smaller vehicle, and the driver has less protection.

In the event that you or a loved one is injured or killed in an Ohio motorcycle accident, you must know your rights and how to recover compensation from the at-fault party.
