A single-car crash has killed two people and injured two others in Circleville. The accident occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning. The Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office isn’t divulging many details, but we know that a 2003 Dodge Neon was travelling south on Ohio 138 when the driver lost control of the vehicle.
The car left the roadway and rolled multiple times. Three of the four passengers were ejected, presumably because they weren’t wearing seat belts. A 43-year-old man died at the scene, while a 27-year-old Clarksburg man later died at Grant Medical Center in Columbus. The other two people were flown to area hospitals; their condition is unknown.
Police have not yet disclosed suspected factors in the fatal Ohio crash. With an early-morning wreck it’s easy to jump to conclusions about alcohol use, but its best to wait and see what the sheriff’s office finds in its investigation. In the meantime, our thoughts are with the victims and their families. They certainly have many questions about how this tragedy happened.
