Reasons why spring driving is so dangerous

When it comes to spring driving in Ohio, you may be excited about the fact that the snow is in the past. You no longer have to concern yourself with snow, ice, and sleet making your life miserable as a driver.

But remember that there are still dangers associated with spring driving. For this reason, you need to pay special attention to what is going on around you.

Here are some of the many reasons why spring driving is dangerous:

— Rain, rain, and more rain. Rain is extremely common during the spring months. You need to be ready for this, especially if flooding hits your area.

— Hail. Driving in a hailstorm is never fun. Not only can this damage your vehicle, but it can also make it difficult to navigate the roadways.

— Animal activity. Now that the warm weather has arrived, animals are beginning to pick up in terms of activity. As they emerge from hibernation, you can expect to see more of these on the road.

— More bicyclists and pedestrians. Warm weather means that people will begin to walk and bicycle more often. You need to share the road with these individuals.

These are just some of the many reasons why spring driving is so dangerous. While you may understand that this time of the year increases the risk of an accident, not all drivers have the same level of knowledge. For this reason, you also need to keep a close watch on others. Doing so may be the one thing that helps you avoid a serious accident that could cause injury.
